Manchester cloud hosting and data centre operator, 远程数据, has won Data Centre Energy Efficiency Project of the Year at the prestigious DCS (Data Centre Solutions) awards.

此外, and as part of the same overall project TeleData replaced its existing 2MW private transformer with a ‘super-low-loss’ transformer which utilises patented energy harnessing technology to reduce energy wastage, in turn reducing overall energy consumption from the grid by a further ~2%.
远程数据 worked closely with The Business Growth Hub on this project, intelligently reducing carbon emissions in all areas, including - as well as the battery storage system - intelligently controlled cooling consumption and cold aisle containment, 带冷凝器的可变风扇, 高效冷却泵, 自然空气冷却系统, cold aisle blanking and office space air conditioning controls to minimise wastage.
The project has resulted in total annual carbon emission savings of over 700 tonnes CO2 per year to date, and annual financial savings of over £150,000元/年.
